Underfloor heating circuits / space heaters
After cleaning the heating circuits can be protected with the Long Life ROCLEAN liquid.
Manual ROCLEAN note!
By connecting a dosage pump, an officially approved cleaning agent or disinfectant may be
added to the pipe system. Its dosage quantity is controlled by the integrated impulse water me-
ter. This type of flushing is only used for sanitizing.

Installation and operation

6.1
General advice
The system should be set up directly behind an approved fine filter, before the distributor battery
or in any other place where there it can be appropriately connected to the pipe network and a
sewer connection.
1. A DIN-DVGW tested fine filter must be installed before the rinse compressor.
Pay attention to the rinse compressor's flow direction!
2. According to DIN EN 1717, if necessary, a suitable pipe separator or system separator must
be installed ahead of the rinse compressor to the tap water fuse.
3. Hot water treatment and/or secondary water treatment devices must be bypassed.
4. The final installation components (such as single-lever mixers, angle valves, etc.) must not
be installed before the rinsing process.
If there are fittings mounted in the wall, follow the manufacturer's information.
Sample installation: Fig. B2 Rinsing thermostat valves installed in the wall.
Sample installation: Fig. B3 Rinsing one-hand lever mixers installed in the wall.
5. Outlet hoses must be attached to the outlet fittings in such a way that they do not fold. Addi-
tionally, the hoses must lead to a drain of sufficient dimensions and be fastened (otherwise,
the end of the hose may slide off from a large thrust).
6. The maximum rinsing line length must not exceed 100 m.
7. To protect sensitive fittings; a pressure regulator must always be installed ahead of the
ROPULS.
8. All installed water lines should be checked for leaks.
9. After each use: Completely empty the hoses and the rinse compressor. Prevent water from
remaining in the hoses and rinse compressor. Store everything in a dry place.

Special instructions for rinsing tap water pipes
According to DIN 1988-2 / EN 806-4 all newly installed tap water pipes must be rinsed before
first use and the results of this rinse are improved by a mixture of water and pulsating air.
This rinse compressor must be designed with an internal diameter of 2" for pipe cleaning.
For decontaminating systems contaminated with legionella, cleaning with a pulsating air/water
mixture is recommended before the disinfection.
Before connecting the tap water system, make sure that the rinse compressor and all accessory
components (such as hoses, pressure regulators, etc.) are completely sanitary.
The following points must always be observed when rinsing according to DIN 1988 Part 2:
1. The construction manager or the designer should be present during rinsing. After rinsing is
complete, an appropriate rinsing log should be made out.
2. The tap water used for rinsing must be filtered (according to DIN 1988 / DIN 50930).
3. The rinse water must maintain a minimum flow speed of 0.5 m/s in the largest pipe. To
reach this flow speed, a minimum number of DN 15 tapping points must be opened (see
chart). If the volume flow (the required flow speed) is not reached, the speed must be ad-
justed using a reservoir and a pump.
