CHAPTER 3 - USE AND ADJUSTMENTS
WARNING
NEVER CARRY OUT THE ADJUSTMENTS
DESCRIBED BELOW WHILE THE MACHINE
IS CONNECTED TO THE MAINS.
3-1
PERPENDICULARITY OF THE
TOOL TO THE WORKTABLE
- Open the casing as described in paragraph 2-
7 removing the front part of the lower casing
unscrewing the 4 fastening screws.
- Fit the blade while the casing is open.
- Check, with a square, that the blade is per-
fectly perpendicular to the plane (see fig. 19).
If not, turn the nut (A) with an open mouth key
of 13 and the dowel (B) with a socket head
screw. Loosen the upper dowel, tighten the
lower one or viceversa, once you have set the
perpendicularity,y, working becomes danger-
ous and this should be absolutely avoided.
- Once the perpendicularity to the worktable
has been obtained, check and if necessary
adjust index (29) by loosening screw (30) until
the black line is aligned with the zero position
(see figure 20).

SQUARING THE ARM WITH THE
ABUTTING STRAIGHTEDGE
- Turn the arm to the 0° position as shown in
figure 21, then stop the arm rotation by insert-
ing lever (31) in the specially-designed slot.
- Rest a board on the abutting straightedge and
cut it for the whole carriage travel; then check
if the cut is squared (see figure 21).
