7.8 Putting the lifting column into operation
Only authorised personnel may put a lifting column into operation. The safety regulations and
instructions in this installation manual must be read and observed.
Check the lifting column far any signs of damage before you start the commissioning and then
refer to the instructions regarding the operation of the lifting column.
If no damage can be detected, then the lifting column can be put into operation.
The lifting column in the potentiometer version can be used both on its own or in conjunction
with a number of lifting columns of the same design.
7.8.1 Putting a single lifting column into operation
•
Check that the lifting column is in a safe state.
•
Insert the connector of the lifting column supply line in the connecting socket of the controller
marked for the drive.
•
Insert the connector of the hand switch connector in the connecting socket of the controller
marked for the connector assignment.
•
Test the function for moving the lifting column up and down by pressing the relevant key on
the manual control switch.
•
When moving the lifting column up and down, take note that the internal end switch swit-
ches off the motor in the upper and lower end positions, thus when reaching the max. lifting
route.
7.8.2 Putting a number of lifting columns into operation
•
Test the safe state of the lifting columns.
•
Insert the connector of the lifting columns supply line in the connecting socket of the cont-
roller marked for the drive.
•
Insert the connector of the hand switch connector in the connecting socket of the controller
marked for the connector assignment.
•
Carry out an initializing run (see controller operating instructions).
•
Note when raising and lowering the lifting column that this operates the limit switch and at
the same time switches the lifting movement off in the top and bottom end positions.
