Instructions
Place the toaster on an even and heat-resistant surface.
Plug the switch to a wall outlet. Before you use the toaster
for the first time, let it get warm without any bread inside
in order to get rid of any impurities. Put the toasting cycle
to a maximum. Next, press the bread elevator down. After
a while, the elevator will rise and the toaster is ready for
use.
Place the bread in the slots and set the wanted level of
toasting (1–7). Level 1 gives the shortest toasting cycle
and level 7 the longest toasting cycle (the darkest
toasting). The further up the scale, the longer toasting
cycle. Press down the bread elevator and the toasting
starts.
Please note that dry bread requires a shorter toasting
cycle than fresh bread.
IMPORTANT! The elevator will not be locked, if the toaster
is not connected to a wall outlet.
Once the toast is ready, the bread elevator will pop up
automatically and the toasting cycle will stop. If you wish
to stop the toasting cycle before the bread elevator pops
up, press the "Stop" button.
If you only intend to toast one slice of bread, set the
thermostat to a lower temperature compared to if there
were bread in both slots. This is because heat from the
empty slot will be transferred to the slot containing bread.
Therefore the bread will burn with a higher thermostat
setting.
If bread gets stuck in the toaster, pull out the switch and
leave the toaster to cool. Turn the toaster upside down
and carefully shake it to get the bread out. If that does
not work, try to carefully get the bread out. Do not use
metallic utensils and be sure not to touch the heating
elements, as these may be damaged and such damage
will not be covered by the warranty.
Never put slices of bread in the toaster that are too big.
They may get stuck.
The "Defrost" button makes it possible to toast frozen
bread directly from the freezer.
The "Bagel" button allows the bread to only be toasted
on one side. Both buttons illuminates when switched on.
Please note that the "Defrost" button and the "Bagel"
button can't be switched on at the same time.

Maintenance
Let the toaster cool completely before cleaning. Switch
off the toaster and unplug from the wall outlet. Bread
crumbs are collected in the crumb tray at the bottom of
the toaster. Pull out the crumb tray by pressing it. It will
pop out and clean it with e.g. a brush before putting it
back in the toaster.
Clean the outside of the toaster with a damp cloth and
wipe dry with a soft cloth or tea towel. Never use scouring
powder or other scratching detergents, as such products
may damage the surface of the appliance.
