10. Troubleshoot

Handheld
Check the following if the Handheld appears non-
functional:
• Is the ON/OFF button activated?
• Is the output indicator illuminated?
• Is the lens cap removed?
• Is the battery charged?
• Is the battery inserted in correct orientation (as
shown in figure 1.2)?
• Is the Horizon Safety System set to the desired

mode?
• Is the safety key inserted into the endcap and
turned?

Aiming sight

Check the following if the aiming sight appears non-
functional:
• Is the battery not empty?
• Is the protection cap removed?
• Is the red dot correctly aligned?
• Are all screws sufficiently tightened?
If the Handheld is not performing as expected, check the LED indicator on the top of the laser module to identify
the device status. Try to solve the problem with the given solution.

Battery charger

Check the following if the batteries are not charging:
• Is the power cable connected to the charger's power
input?
• Is the other end of the power cable connected to the
wall outlet or the cigarette lighter socket?
• Are the batteries inserted in correct orientation? The
positive battery pole should correspond with the (+)
symbol on the charger.
• Is solid contact made between both poles of the
battery and the metal contact points of the charger?
• Do the LED-indicators blink upon insertion of the
batteries?
Solution

- Project the laser below set angle
- Set the Horizon Safety System to another mode
