TROUBLESHOOTING
Use the inspections in the table below if the tool does not operate normally. If this does not remedy the problem, consult your
dealer or the Hitachi Authorized Service Center.
Symptom
The motor won't operate
when the trigger is pulled.
The power lamp blinks
repeatedly, and the washer
does not start.
The power lamp is rapidly
blinking, and the washer
does not start.
Water is not being
discharged.
Water pressure is low.
Water pressure is not
steady.
Water discharge is
abnormal.
The motor is groaning.

Possible cause
No battery is installed.
The switch is set at "OFF".
The battery's capacity is low.
The battery is overheated.
There is an abnormality.
The strainer is blocked.
The nozzle is blocked.
The water feed connector is loose.
There is water leaking from the high-
pressure hose.
There is water leaking from the main unit or
the trigger gun.
The main unit and tank are not properly
connected.
There is little water in the tank.
The tank's valve cap is clogged.
The water volume or pressure from the
faucet is low.
There is not enough priming water.
There is a large height diff erence between
the water feed inlet and the surface of the
stored water.
The inner diameter of the hose is not
suitable.
No remaining battery power.
The battery is overheated (power lamp is
blinking).
There is a problem with the main unit
(power lamp is rapidly blinking).
The nozzle is blocked by foreign matter.
There is little water in the tank.
Install battery.
Switch the washer on.
Charge the battery.
If left alone, the battery will automatically
begin charging if its temperature decreases,
but this may reduce battery life. It is
recommended that the battery be cooled in
a well-ventilated location away from direct
sunlight before charging it.
Check and remove any foreign matter from
between the terminals of the battery and
the main unit. If the rapid blinking continues,
contact a Hitachi Authorized Service Center
for repairs, as the problem may be the
washer.
Wash the strainer, which is incorporated into
the water feed inlet.
Clean the end of the nozzle with the nozzle
cleaner pin supplied.
Check and make sure that the water feed
connector is securely tightened.
○ Check and make sure that the connector
is fi rmly connected.
○ If the high-pressure hose is damaged,
contact a Hitachi Authorized Service
Center for repairs.
Contact a Hitachi Authorized Service Center
for repairs.
Check and make sure that the main unit and
tank are securely connected.
Turn off the power switch and promptly
replenish the water in the tank.
Detach and clean the valve cap.
Check and make sure that the hose has
a suitable inner diameter and that it isn't
twisted.
Fully open the faucet.
Immerse the hose in the stored water to fi ll
the hose with more water (priming water).
Place the washer within the range of the
maximum height of suction.
Use a hose with an inner diameter of
7.5 – 9 mm.
Charge the battery.
Detach the battery from the main unit and
allow it to suffi ciently cool in a well-ventilated
location away from direct sunlight .
Contact a Hitachi Authorized Service Center
for repairs.
Clean the nozzle with the included nozzle
cleaner pin.
Turn off the power switch and promptly
replenish the water.
