1. General safety instructions

A. Exclusion of liability /
warning notices
The present instructions of assembly and use must be made
available to every user before a storage installation is put into
service.
All instructions given in this document must be followed at all
times.
BITO-Lagertechnik disclaims liability for all damages arising from
non-observance of these instructions of assembly and use.

B. General requirements
■ Mobile shelving must be used for the purpose and must be
maintained and repaired as specifi ed by the manufacturer. It
is not allowed to modify the structure or to add fi ttings.
■ Shelving & racking located on sites within Germany must
comply with the safety regulations for warehouse equipment
and machinery (Richtlinien für Lagereinrichtungen und
-geräte) as specifi ed by the DGUV regulation 108-007 of the
German Statutory Accident Insurance Association as well
as with the regulations set up by the German Occupational
Safety and Health Acts (Arbeitsstättenverordnungen) and the

relevant accident prevention regulations. Shelving & racking located
on sites outside Germany must comply with the relevant national/
local accident prevention regulations for warehouse equipment and
machinery.
■ Incoming goods awaiting fi xture and fi tting into BITO storage
facilities must be stored indoors. Outdoor storage of such parts and
components is not permitted.
C. Intended use
■ BITO Mobile shelving is intended for storing and picking loads
stored in bins and cartons as well as loose items.
■ This mobile storage rack can easily be relocated within plants and
workshops. It has been designed for use on fl at, hard, clean and dry

■ Only move mobile shelving if you are familiar with handling and use

■ Always check before use whether the rack is fi t for the purpose.In
particular, check castors, locking brakes and handle.

■ Loads must be secured against falling.
■ Mobile shelving must be moved slowly and without jerks in order not
to impair stability.
■ Always wear safety gloves when working with the mobile rack.
