Step 4
With grill lid open, stand back and carefully light charcoal and allow to burn
until covered with a light ash (ap prox i mate ly 20 minutes).

Wearing oven mitts/gloves, place cooking grate on grill support lip.
WARNING:

Place food on cooking grate. ALWAYS COOK WITH LID OPEN. NEVER CLOSE
LID WHEN CHARCOAL IS HOT. Always use a meat
food is fully cooked before removing from grill.

Allow grill to cool completely, then follow instructions in the
"After-Use Safety" and "Proper Care & Maintenance" sections
of this manual.
To increase heat, more char coal may be needed or an adjustment to air
vent.
To maintain the temperature, more charcoal may need to be added or an
adjustment may be necessary during the cooking cycle to air vent.
