4.8. EXPANDED SYSTEMS
An expanded system means that more than one outdoor unit or more
than indoor monitor are connected.
The KVP 1430 & KVP 2700 kits are preconfigured to be installed
directly.
In every system there will be an outdoor panel and an indoor monitor
configured as master. All other devices must be encded as salves.
Devices encoding
For the codification process it is necessary to press different buttons
both in the indoor monitor and outdoor unit in a short period of time
after mains connection (during the next 30 seconds after connec-
tion).
So, it is recommended to connect the devices at short distance ~5m.
Very important: Any of the following processes has to be carried out
during the inmediate 30 seconds after connection to the mains vol-
tage.
• Master outer unit configuration.
The outer plate contained in the default kit is set as master. No
coding is required. In the case of installing a second outer plate,
it must be configured as slave. Plates purchased as individual
reference (PE 1 or PE 2) outside the Kit are configured as slaves.
An external board configured as slave can be set to master mode
as follows:
1. Press the doorbell for three seconds. There will be 4 beeps
on the board.
2. Press the doorbell again for three seconds. There will be 4
beeps on the board. The unit is now set as master.
• Slave outer unit configuration.
1. Press the doorbell for three seconds. There will be 4 beeps
on the board.
2. Perform a single click on the outer plate. Two beeps will sound.
3. Press the button on the outer plate again for three seconds.
There will be 4 beeps on the board. From this moment, the unit
is configured as a slave.
