accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference
to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential
area is likely to cause harmful interference, in which case the user will be
required to correct the interference at their expense. The following
techniques can be used to reduce interference problems:
1. Disconnect the equipment from its power source to verify that it is or
is not the source of the interference.
2. If the equipment is connected to the same outlet as the device
experiencing interference, connect the equipment to a different
outlet.
3. Move the equipment away from the device receiving the interference.
4. Reposition the receiving antenna for the device receiving the
interference.
5. Try combinations of the above.

Product overview

The WDMP sc combines process instruments into a system to monitor
water quality. All components are mounted on a single, pre-plumbed
panel that can be wall or rack mounted
A power supply in the junction box enclosure gives power to panel
components. The junction box also sends RS485 signals to a digital
controller. The junction box is protected by a molded cover/tray. The
molded junction box cover can be used as a tray for calibration.
The conductivity probe supplies temperature measurements.
Sample flow is sent to a turbidity sensor, a chlorine analyzer and a
vertical manifold which keeps the sample level constant. The manifold is
a cylinder with a tube down the center. Three sensors can be installed
into the wall of the cylinder. Sample rises in the cylinder until it reaches
the top of the center tube. The top of the tube is open, allowing water to
overflow down the center tube to the drain.
The manifold also has a sample port for an optional TOC analyzer.
The Water Distribution Monitoring Panel sc (WDMP sc) is designed to
combine established instrumentation into a pre-configured system for
water monitoring. The WDMP sc provides continuous surveillance of
drinking water distribution systems. The panel monitors multiple
"indicator" parameters (chlorine, conductivity, pH, turbidity, pressure and
temperature) that can signal changes in the water quality profile. The

sc1000 controller collects data and interfaces with probes for setup and
calibration. The detection of a change in water quality is necessary for
two reasons.
• To help identify the presence of unintentionally or intentionally
introduced contaminants
• To meet distribution monitoring requirements in various federal and
state EPA rules
On-line monitoring of the distribution system can help meet requirements
for:
• Surface Water Treatment Rule by detecting disinfectant residual in the
distribution system
• Disinfectants and Disinfection By-Products Rule
