1.1.- GENERAL INFORMATION
The D.A.S. CT-1 controller has been developed using the latest computer aided electronic design
systems. All electronic components used in the "CT" series controllers have been carefully selected to meet
demanding quality control procedures carried out by our staff of engineers. The rugged 1 mm thick steel chasis
offers ample protection for the electronic circuitry.
All models comply with the technical specifications of the Eueopean Union legislation regarding CE
marking.
The controller is designed to be mounted in a standard 19" rack. Its height is one DIN-unit. For rack
mounting, there are four holes in the front panel to fasten the units to a rack with metric screws (M5 or M6).
1.2.- CHARACTERISTICS
- Signal polarity according to norm AES14-1992 (ANSI S4.48-1992).
- Voltage selector located at the rear panel.
- Balanced inputs with XLR (Cannon) connectors.
- Since heat build-up is minimal, forced ventilation is not required.
- All controllers use a Linkwitz-Riley, 24 dB per octave type filter.
- Featuring subsonic-filter at 20 Hz and ultrasonic-filter at 22 kHz.
- Stereo controller with a monophonic bass channel output (operational only in bi-amp mode).
- Un-balanced output with XLR (Cannon) connectors.
- Mode of operation and tone boost switches.
- Bass channel gain control.
2.1.- FRONT PANEL DESCRIPTION
A) POWER SWITCH
When lit, the red power led indicates that the controller is in operation.
B) MODE-SWITCH
Switches the controller's mode of operation between Bi-amp<-> Full range.
C) HIGH FREQUENCY BOOST SWITCH
Activates or deactivates the high frequency boost (+7dB at 16 kHz). Low frequency boost is fixed
but dependent on the operating mode (+3 dB@ 45 Hz in Full-Range, +6 dB @ 45 Hz Bi-amp).
D) GAIN CONTROL
Sub-bass gain control operational only when the switch is in the Bi-Amp position.
