Stokke® Sleepi™ Bed
WARNING
Failure to follow these warnings and instruc-
tions could result in serious injury or death
• Child can become entrapped and die when improvised
netting or covers are placed on top of product. Never
add such items to confine child in product.
• The crib, including side rails, must be fully erected
prior to use.
• Strings can cause strangulation! Never place items with
a string around a child's neck such as hood strings or
pacifier cords. Never suspend strings over product or
attach strings to toys.
• Discontinue use of crib when child is able to climb out
or reaches the height of 35 in. (890mm).
• Never place product near a window where cords from
blinds or drapes can strangle a child.
• When child is able to pull to standing position, set
mattress/base to lowest adjustment position and
remove bumper pads, large toys, and other objects
that could serve as steps for climbing out.
• Never use this product if there are any loose or missing
WARNING – SUFFOCATION HAZARD.
Infants have suffocated:
• In gaps between extra padding and
side of the bassinet/cradle, and
• On soft bedding

fasteners, loose joints, broken parts or torn mesh/fabric.
Check before assembly and periodically during use. Contact
Stokke LLC for replacement parts. Never substitute parts.
• Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as
mattress covers not sold and intended for that purpose.
They can cause suffocation.
• If refinishing, use a non-toxic finish specified for
children's products.
• Never use a water mattress with this product.
• The crib base height can be adjusted at all four basic
heights. Make sure that the distance from the mattress
to the top of the crib is never less than 11.8'' in the highest
position and 20'' in the lowest position. You will have no
problems if the original mattress from STOKKE is used.
• The lowest position of the crib base is always the safest.
As soon as the baby can sit up or pull itself up, the crib
base must be lowered.
• Make sure to keep medication, string, elastic, small
toys or small items such as money out of reach from
any position in the crib
• When your child can climb in and out of the bed by
itself, you can consider removing one side of the bed
and adjust the crib base to the upper position.
• In gaps between a mattress too small

• Use only the pad provided by manufac-

• Always provide the supervision necessary for the
continued safety of your child. When used for playing,
never leave child unattended.
• To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend
healthy infants be placed on their back to sleep, unless
otherwise advised by your physician.
• Use ONLY mattress/pad provided by the STOKKE which
must be at least 47.2 in. long by 26.4 in. wide, and not
more than 3.9 in. thick, and have the shape of the crib.
• The mattress used with this crib should not be more
than 3.9 in. thick and should measure no less than
48 in. long and 26.7 in. wide. When the mattress is
pushed against the sides of the crib, there should be
no gap bigger than 1 in. between the mattress and
the sides of the crib.
• Check proper fit of mattress. Should not be more than 3.9
inches thick. The maximum gap between mattress and
inside of crib border (or edge) should be no more than 1 in.
• Do not use more than one mattress in the cot.
• Replace teething rail if damaged, cracked, or loose.
• Do not use any accessories or replacement parts not
manufactured by STOKKE, this may affect your child's
safety.

WARNING

Do not use this crib if the enclosed or attached
instructions cannot be strictly adhered to. Do not
use this crib if the child is able to climb out unaid-
ed or is taller than 90cm (35''). Do not place cords,
straps or similar items that could become wound
around the child's neck in or near this crib. Ensure
that the sides are properly latched or locked in
place when the crib is occupied. The mattress
used with this crib should not be more than 3.9 in.
