ELECTRIC CONNECTION
14,
Azpeitia,
Motor Characteristics:
A single-phase motor is supplied for opera-
tion on 230V.
A three-phase motor is supplied for opera-
tion on
400V).
Before connecting the dryer polisher to the
mains, check that the motor is prepared to
operate on the actual mains voltage. If not,
change the motor voltage setting.
To change the voltage setting:
·Change the motor connection as shown
on the wiring diagram and in the terminal
box.
·Use the jumper prepared for this purpose
on the connecting terminals.
Power Cable Characteristics.
The SAMMIC dryer polishers are delivered
complete with a thermoplastics-sheathed
power cable 2m in length. THIS APPLIANCE
MUST BE EARTHED. The machine earth wire
is identified.
Power line required:
For three-phase motor powered machines,
one 20A 3PN+E wall outlet and a sealed
plug are required for the connection of the
dryer polisher cable.
For single-phase motor powered machines,
one 20A 2P+E wall outlet and a sealed plug
are required for the connection of the
dryer-polisher cable.
Changing the direction of rotation of the
vibromotor (on three-phase machines
only):
If the movement of the polish were not
upward, then the vibromotor's direction of
rotation would be wrong. To correct it,
interchange the positions of any two wires,
after verifying that the machine has been
230V or 400V (factory-set to
disconnected from the mains.
START-UP
·Filling of polish granules: Start the
machine (see "Operation"). Fill the hopper
with the polish granules supplied ,
through the central cutlery inlet (C). If the
motor direction of rotation is correct, the
product will be distributed evenly in the
hopper with an ascending movement.
Once the granules have been distributed
homogeneously, switch the machine off.
·Operation: The dryer polisher only start
when the lid is closed. Provided the con-
nection to the mains has been made
correctly, a push on the M button will start
the machine. The motor starts and an
ascending whirl develops inside the tub,
causing the items of cutlery to circulate.
At the same time, the heaters start war-
ming up until the granules reach the
necessary temperature for drying and
polishing the cutlery. Light indicator R
warns the user when the heaters are war-
ming up and turns off when the adequate
temperature has been reached. This indi-
cator will turn on and off automatically,
regulating the temperature of the granu-
les throughout the cycle. It is recommen-
ded to switch the machine on about 20
minutes before use. This will ensure the
granules have reached the required tem-
perature before loading the first batch of
cutlery giving a better result.
Cutlery must be loaded WET. The applian-
ce has no effect on dry cutlery.
If you lift the top cover or press the red
push-button P, the machine stops and the
heaters stop heating.
·Sanitising: The SAMMIC cutlery polisher
uses a UV-C(E) lamp for sanitising both
the cutlery and the granules. This lamp
has been successfully tested and is duly
certified, so cutlery is sanitised. The lamp
can be turned on and off with the UV-C
switch on the control panel (D). It is essen-
