REMOVING COOK PLATES AND CLEANING

1.
Waffle Plates are removable for ease of cleaning. Make sure the Waffle Maker is
cooled completely before removing waffle cook plates.
2.
Use the lid handle to open the lid.
3.
Unlock and remove lower plate. Firmly
press the lower plate release located at the
base of the waffle cook plate. (See Figure 2).
4.
Grasp the cook plate and pull the tabs up
and out from the metal brackets at the base
of the lower lid. (See Figure 3).
5.
Unlock and remove upper plate. Firmly
press the upper plate release located at
the top of the upper waffle cook plate. (See
Figure 4). Pull the cook plate tabs up and out
from the metal brackets at the base of the
upper lid.
6.
As the plate is released, pull the top plate
forward, then up from the brackets at the
base of the upper lid.
7.
Brush the waffle plates with a clean, brush or
cloth. Clean plates in warm, soapy water.
For best results: Never use cold water to
clean warm cook plates.
CAUTION: Never immerse Waffle Maker
body in water or other liquids.
8.
A moist paper towel can be used to wipe
down and remove cooked-on batter from the
plates.
9.
To remove any batter baked onto the cook
plates, pour a small amount of cooking oil
onto the hardened batter. Allow to set for 5
minutes, then wipe softened batter off with a
paper towel or soft cloth. Remove stubborn
stains with a plastic mesh puff or pad. For
best results, use only products with directions
stating that it is safe for cleaning non-stick
cooking surfaces. Do not use steel wool or
coarse scouring pads.
