INTRODUCTION
What is a Sound Card? Related to the computer is a peripheral. A peripheral is a device attached to a host computer, but
not part of it, and is more or less dependent on the host. It expands the host's capabilities, but does not form part of the
core computer architecture.
Examples are computer printers, image scanners, tape drives, microphones, loudspeakers, webcams, and digital
cameras.
As a peripheral the main task of a Sound Card it to convert audio signals from the analogue domain to the digital domain
and viceversa. Being that so the most important part of a Sound Card are the AD/DA converters that will account for the
quality of the signal. ARES SC4 is equiped with Cirrus Logic® AD/DA converters. Arguability the best that there are.
ARES SC4 is a Sound Card specifically designed for use with DJ software. Standard DJ Softwares have two settings;
external and internal. ARES SC4 make the most out of them in different scenarios as it will be read in this manual.
One of the most interesting features of ARES SC4 is the possibility of sending the Mic signal to your computer for audio
processing. Hence, at studio or at a live gig you can add effects to your "Capellas" and record them. A Hip Hopper dream!
ARES SC4 is a portable, robust and professional USB audio interface. The main features of ARES SC4 are:

4 audio output channels (Mono). That is two stereo output channels.

All input channels switchable from Line level to Phone level.

1 headphone output with high output level.

1 microphone input channel analogue and/or digital. You can send your microphone input signal to you
computer for signal process (effects like robot, echo, etc) either in a live gig or in your studio.
