A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to
reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
•
Longer detachable power supply cords or extension cords are available and may be
used if care is exercised in their use.
•
If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1.
The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or exten-
sion cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appli-
ance;
2.
If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a
grounding type 3-wire cord; and
3.
The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the coun-
ter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
•
If you need to remove the filter holder after brewing, please use the handle. Its surface
might still be hot.
•
Do not stand over the brewer when it is in use, as scalding steam might be present.
•
Do not insert any fingers between shower head (located under the top of the arch)
and the filter holder. Hot water will be flowing during the brewing cycle.
•
Scalding may occur if the carafe is removed during the brewing cycle.
•
Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than its intended use.
•
Do not touch hot surfaces; use the handles or knobs.
•
Do not let the power cord hang over edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
