Insert or replace batteries

Open the battery compartment. Insert

2 x 1.5 V batteries (type LR03/AAA) in
the battery compartment. Make sure the
polarity is correct as indicated. Close the
battery compartment.
Note
Replace the batteries at least once a year,
although at the latest when Lo appears on
the LCD display. The display Lo means that
the battery power is low and it is necessary
to replace the batteries.
Operation
To weigh

Place the digital scale on a flat, clean

and dry surface. The base must stand
on a horizontal, flat surface to ensure
the measurement is as precise as
possible.

switch on the scale. The scale shows 0
on the LCD display.

Place the goods you wish to weigh on

the scales. Once the scale detects the
weight, the weight is shown on the LCD
display. Read the weight on the LCD
display.
Note
• The scale switch off automatically after
around 2 minutes if no activity is detected
within this period.
• You can also put the food to be weighed
into the bowl and then place it on the
scales to weigh it.
• If the display shows Err the scale is
overloaded. Remove the goods you are
weighing. Never place goods weighing
more than 5 kg on the scale.

Setting the unit of measurement

Switch on the scale. Press the

conversion button on the bottom of
the scale. You can choose between
grams (g) and pounds:ounces (lb:oz)
for the weight mode or between
millilitres (ml) and fluid ounces (fl'oz) in
milk or water mode.

Choose the mode to suit the type of

goods you are weighing (weight, milk or
water mode). Press the MODE button
to set the weighing mode.
Taring food

1. Place the container for the

ingredients on the scales. The scale
weighs the weight of the container.
2. Press the TARA button to set the
scale to 0. "0" appears on the LCD
display along with the symbol "O"
or "T" (see "Zero function" and "Tare
function").
3. The ingredients can now be
weighed. Put the partial quantity
to be weighed into the container.
The weight of the added product is
shown on the LCD display.
Note
• You can repeat this stage several times.
• If weight is taken away while using the
zero function, a minus sign (–) appears on
the LCD display.
