a) Central amplifier site
It will preferably be located at the entrance of the dwelling, in the
telecommunications box, with DIN rail fastening system.
If this type of enclosure is not available, it should be placed in its own enclosure
with DIN rail and easy access for verification and control, with connection to
the mains and Ethernet LAN network, and with sufficient ventilation to dissipate
the heat produced by the equipment.
b) Wire distribution
It is necessary to carry built-in tubes from the location of the speakers in the
rooms or sound zones to the amplifier (maximum 8 rooms in mono, or 1
stereo + 6 in mono, 2 in stereo + 4 in mono,...).
Normally in bathrooms and kitchens, one loudspeaker per zone is used.
c) Connections and system start-up
The most important connections for proper operation are the following:
• Main power supply supported from 115 to 230 Vac, both 50 and 60 Hz
(1), and ground connection.
• Connection to a Private Ethernet LAN network, through a router with
WiFi network accessibility. In order to enjoy all its features, the LAN network
to which the Multiroom IP amplifier is connected to the Internet.
services such as Internet Radio, Spotify Connect and others will not be
available

However, in case there is no LAN or Internet connection, you can check
the operation of the equipment through the RESET button, or have music
available via USB.
• Direct connection to the EGi low impedance loudspeakers in each
zone to be loudspeakerised, with a minimum output impedance of 4 Ohm,
using cable of at least 2x0.5 or 2x0.75 mm
If the room or zone is mono, only 2 wires (black and red) are needed; if it
is stereo, 4 wires (2 black and 2 red) will be run to the location of the
loudspeaker(s). They can also be connected to 100 V line loudspeakers
via EGi 05017, 05011 or 05005 transformers.
d) Installation steps:
Due to the fact that in many cases, when the system is going to be installed
and connected, it is very likely that we will NOT find a LAN or Ethernet network
socket with WiFi and Internet (since the WiFi routers of the home or
establishment are not installed until it is delivered), the Multiroom IP modules
allow the equipment and its connections to be tested locally and directly from
the equipment itself, without the need for any network or application.
For this purpose, the Multiroom IP equipment has a test or RESET button
on the front panel that allows us to check the equipment is working correctly,
and the speaker lines are properly connected and sound correctly one by one.
PTo carry out this check, the following steps must be followed:
1. Connect all speaker lines respecting the + and - polarity of the speakers.
Connect to power strips (from (5) to (12)).
2. With all the lines necessary for the installation connected to each zone or
output (avoiding short circuits in these lines), we proceed to connect the
115/230 Vac mains supply by means of the power supply strip (1).
3. Power the line and check the POWER led lights up.
Otherwise,
4. After 3 seconds, the SYSTEM STATUS, WiFi, BT
leds also light up.
