USE
System requirements
This external hard drive is compatible with Microsoft Windows 8 and higher and Mac OS 10.x and higher
operating systems.
For USB 3.2 Gen 1x1 operation, a USB 3.2 Gen 1x1 interface is required. The hard drive is backwards com-
patible with previous USB standards.
The hardware configuration of your PC and the operating system used may influence the accessibility of the
external hard drive and the transfer speed between the PC and external hard drive.

Connecting the external hard drive
1. Connect the supplied power supply with the external hard drive. Plug the other end of the power supply
into the socket. To switch on, press the On/Off switch on the front side of the housing. To connect the
external hard drive to your computer, please use only the supplied USB cable. Connect the USB-B plug
with the Intenso hard drive and the plug of the USB-A cable end with your computer. The computer
recognizes the "new hardware" and installs the driver automatically.
2. Wait until the driver installation is complete. In „This PC", there is now another drive with the name
"Intenso". As soon as the external hard drive is connected to the computer, the LED lights up. The LED
flashes when a write or read operation is being carried out. The LED lights up blue when the external
hard drive is operated on a USB 3.x port, and on a USB 2.0 port, it lights up green.
Removing the external hard drive
Depending on the operating system used, the external hard drive must be ‚Ejected' before the connection
to the computer is interrupted. For more information, please refer to the help section of your operating
system provider.
To avoid data loss, please close all open files (photos, documents, etc.) on the external hard drive before
removing it from the computer.
Please do not remove the external hard drive if it is still being accessed by the system. Active access is indi-
cated by the flashing LED on the device. This procedure can prevent damage and/or loss of data.
