COMMISSIONING
We recommend disconnecting the battery from the vehicle before you charge it. This prevents
potential damage. To prevent the loss of security systems and e.g. audio system memories, you
can install an additional appliance. The mains plug must NOT yet be connected when you connect
the terminals to the battery. Open the bonnet and remove the battery cover. We also recommend
disconnecting the on-board power supply. First disconnect the negative pole (-), then the positive
pole (+).
Connect the charger to the battery. First connect the positive pole to the red terminal, then the
negative pole to the black one. If these connections are secure, then you can proceed with step
2.
Connect the charger to the socket. The mains light indicates that the mains cable has been
connected to the socket. The error light indicates that the battery terminals have been connected
incorrectly. The reverse polarity protection ensures that the battery and the charger do not get
damaged. The lights indicate the charging progress. The status of the battery charge can be
monitored on the LED display. These lights go out one after the other. If only MAX/100% / FULL
lights up on the display, this indicates that the battery is charged. Once charging is complete, flip
the switch and disconnect the power supply before you remove the charger.
