DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE: Espresso coffee maker – Figure I.

D. Safety valve
G. Silicone gasket
USING THE DEVICE - See Figure II.
1. Check that the device is not hot from previous use. Hold the jug (B) with a dry hand. Do not press or pull the handle (J). Grab the
water tank (C) with your other hand. Turn the jug (B) counterclockwise until you unscrew the jug (B) from the water tank (C), being
careful not to push or pull the handle (J). After opening the device, remove the funnel filter (E).
2. Fill the tank (C) with water to a level below the safety valve (D). The safety valve (D) must NOT be underwater. Insert the funnel filter
(E) into the water tank (C). Fill the funnel filter (E) with ground coffee to approximately 4/5 of its capacity. Do not tamp the ground coffee
vigorously. The coffee should not be ground too finely.
3. Screw the jug (B) back onto the water tank ©. Make sure the flat strainer (F) and silicone gasket (G) are properly installed and the
coffee maker is tightly closed. Be careful not to press or pull the handle (J).
4. Place the assembled device on a heat source and set it to medium heat. Espresso coffee should not be cooked over too high a heat to
avoid boiling over and damaging the coffee maker. The machine will start brewing. The espresso coffee will begin to rise into the upper
container through the inner tube (H), producing a small amount of steam and bubbling. Do not open the lid (A) until the coffee maker has
finished brewing. You can get burned by hot steam and hot coffee.
5. Remove the coffee maker from the heat source as soon as the bubbling stops, then the coffee will stop flowing from the inner tube (H).
Grab the device by the handle (J), open the lid (A), stir the coffee with a spoon directly into the jug (B), then close the lid (A) and pour the
coffee into the prepared cups.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Check whether the device is hot after previous use. Cleaning should be performed after each use, but only after the device has cooled
down completely.
2. Hold the jug (B) with a dry hand. Grab the water tank (C) with your other hand. Turn the jug (B) counterclockwise until you unscrew the
jug (B) from the water tank ©, being careful not to push or pull the handle (J). Remove the funnel filter (E).
3. Empty the funnel filter (E) of grounds and clean all parts with hot water and a mild dishwashing liquid. Do not use harsh or caustic
cleaning agents. Dry completely. It is recommended to store individual parts disassembled.
Replacing the silicone seal (G) and the flat strainer (F)
After a long time, the seal (G) and the flat strainer (F) located on the outside of the jug (B) may be damaged. The silicone seal (G) will
begin to disintegrate and the flat filter (F) will discolor or may lose its shape. Follow the instructions below:
1. Check whether the device is hot after previous use. Replacement should only be made after the device has completely cooled down.
Unscrew the jug (B).
2. On the bottom of the jug (B) you will see a round silicone gasket (G) and a flat round strainer (F).
3. Using a thin blade, pry the seal and pull it down, it will come out along with the strainer. Throw away the old gasket and flat strainer if it
is worn out.
4. To install, place the new strainer in the center of the empty space with the bulge facing you.
5. Press the new seal around the strainer, then use your finger to slide the seal around the new strainer until it clicks into place.
6. You can screw the jug back on to check that the seal is in place.
WARNING: Please note that both the silicone gasket (G) and the flat strainer (F) are consumable parts and are not covered by the
appliance's warranty.
DESCALING
1. To descale the device, use 1 flat teaspoon of citric acid mixed with warm water poured into the water tank (C) and left for 6 hours.
Then rinse the tank three times with boiling water.
2. In the case of more persistent deposits, use a scaling agent for coffee machines in accordance with their instructions for use.
