CAUTION:

Ensure that the power source conforms to the requirements stated on the name plate of the tool.
•
Before connecting the power cord to the mains power supply ensure that the switch is in the off
position.
•
Be sure the grinding wheels are not in contact with the workpiece or any other object before
switching the tool on.
•
Always switch the bench grinder off and disconnect from the mains power supply before
changing wheels, removing any obstructions or making any adjustments.
•
To avoid the risk of injury ensure grinding wheels are fitted correctly as per the instructions.
Check before use.
•
Always run the bench grinder for approximately one minute before commencing operation. Should
there be any excessive vibration or wobble immediately check disc installation and that it has
been fitted correctly.
•
Check the position of power cables before commencing work ensuring that it is positioned to the
rear of the bench grinder.
Keep hands an other body parts well away from the grinding wheels while the bench grinder is in

use. Do not attempt to remove any material whilst the bench grinder is in operation.
•
Always wear a face mask, ear muffs and eye protection when using a power tools. Other safety
equipment such as gloves, helmet and apron are also recommended.

Always check the workpiece before operation and remove any obstructions.

Do not operate this tool without the safety guard, tool supports and safety shield being correctly
attached. Always check before operation.
Use the bench grinder resting on a workbench or table. Make sure it is secure.

Never operate the bench grinder on the floor or while crouched. Operation in this manner may
cause serious personal injury.

Allow the bench grinder to reach it's optimum speed before commencing work.
The grinding wheels will continue to spin for a short period after the tool is turned off. Exercise

care.

Do not touch the grinding wheel or workpiece directly after operation. Allow the wheel and
material to cool. These will be HOT and will burn.

Do not use damaged or faulty grinding wheels. This may cause the wheels to shatter causing
personal injury whist in operation.

Only used approved grinding wheels.
•
Only use grinding wheels with the correct bore size (12.7mm) for the spindle. Also ensure they are
the specified diameter for the bench grinder spindle. Do not use reducing washers or adaptors for
grinding wheels or other accessories where the bore size is greater than the size if the spindle.
Do not use this grinder in-conjunction with wood, lead or any other soft materials.

Only use flanges specified for this tool.
•
Take care not do damage the flanges or spindle. Damaged flanges or spindles may cause wheel
damage.
Watch out for flying sparks. Operate the tool so that sparks fly away from you or other persons

and flammable materials.
Use the standard parts and accessories. Do not use a coolant or water.
•

Do not attempt tasks beyond the capacity of this tool.
Do not force the tool to do applications it is not designed for.

NOTE: This product is covered by a one year replacement warranty for home
use only. It is not designed for industrial or trade applications. Do not use the
tool to perform applications for which it is not designed.
