3.2.1 Button function
1. Power switch / return button
Press and hold the "Power Switch/Return" button for 4 seconds to turn on the system.
Press and hold the "Power Switch/Return" button for 4 seconds to turn off the system.
The device is idle for 5 minutes and will automatically shut down.
Press the "Power Switch/Return" button to exit the back scan or ear ID reading function.
2. Backfat Scanning Button
In the main interface, press the "backfat scan" button to perform the backfat scan.
3. Ear Tag Read Button
In the main interface, press the "ear tag number read" button to read the ear tag number.
3.2.2 Scanning Position
The position of the backfat measurement and the ear tag reading is different.
The probe section is used to measure the backfat, and the top of the analyzer is where the ear tag
is scanned, as shown in Figure 3-1.
4. Backfat Measurement
4.1 Pre-measurement
The gel should be applied to the measurement location prior to measurement.
Warning: Improper or small amounts of gel may result in incorrect results or no readings
because the ultrasound cannot pass through air or air bubbles.
