It is recommended that these parts are regularly
cleaned and disinfected as per normal procedure
for optometric equipment.
Failure to observe these warnings and recommendations may void any warranty on the QuickSee Free
medical devices.
Warnings
1. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by PlenOptika could void the warranty.
2. The supplied power cord (white color) is optimized to charge the QuickSee Free medical device. Replace-
ment or substitution may only be done with a CSA or UL approved medical-grade power cord rated for at
least 5.1 V and 3.2 amp.
3. The supplied power supply/charger may not be substituted and shall only be replaced by an approved unit
supplied by PlenOptika.
4. If the power cord or external power supply becomes damaged or its integrity is suspect, or the building
power receptacle outlet is ungrounded, then QuickSee Free medical devices shall only be used with the
internal battery power until replacement parts or a grounded power receptacle become available.
5. The power cord for the Bluetooth printer (black color) is not optimized to charge the QuickSee Free medical
device, being exclusive for the Bluetooth printer. Likewise, the power cord for the QuickSee Free medical
device (white color) shall be used exclusively for the medical device.
6. QuickSee Free medical devices contain a series of magnets in the device itself and in the detachable
fogging lenses. The magnetic field emitted could cause minimal interference with susceptible implantable
devices such as pacemakers, and it is recommended that QuickSee Free medical devices are not placed at
a distance less than 5 cm from the patient's chest. Although operators should be aware of this recommen-
dation, it should be noted that QuickSee Free medical devices are safe when used under normal operation
conditions following the user and safety instructions.
Getting started
Charging
1. Locate the QuickSee Free charging port on the
bottom side of the handle (see figure at right)
2. Connect the white power cord with supplied pow-
er adapter and plug into the charging port.
3. Plug the power adapter into an available AC
wall outlet to charge the device; the purple LED
indicator will light up when charging.
4. The unit can be used while charging. Ensure unit
is charged fully before first use by charging for 8
hours initially.
Warning: Charging port specifications: 5.1V-3.2A DC Input. Use provided medical grade power cord.
Powering QuickSee Free on and off
1. To turn QuickSee Free medical device on, press the power button, located on
the top side of the device (see figure below), for half a second and release. The
device will power on and the display will turn on. Wait until the device finishes the
startup procedure (around 45 seconds).
2. To turn the device off, access the pull-up menu (see how to access the pull-up
menu on page 8) and select "Power off" by sliding the control from left to right.
3. Pressing and releasing the power button briefly will put the device into Pow-
er-Saving Mode. In Power-Saving Mode, the screen is turned off and less battery
