NOTE: If there is a leak in your appliance (gas odor) and you cannot stop the gas fl ow,
remove the appliance.
• If you cannot stop the gas fl ow, move the butane gas burner to a well ven� lated area
away from any source of igni� on.
• Check for leaks using soapy water.
• Do not a� empt to detect leaks using a fl ame.
CAUTION: When connec� ng or disconnec� ng the butane gas cylinder, ensure that there
are no external sources of igni� on.
4. LIGHTING THE BUTANE GAS BURNER
• NOTE: Open the cylinder cap before ligh� ng. Failure to open
the cap may cause the burner igniter to overheat.
• Turn the control knob an� clockwise un� l you hear a click to
indicate that a spark has been produced (Fig 4).
• If the cooker does not ignite, turn the control knob to the
OFF posi� on and repeat the process.
• If a� er three unsuccessful a� empts, the cooker does not ignite, turn the con-
trol knob to the "OFF" posi� on and move the canister lever to the "OFF" posi� on.
Then move the cylinder lever to the "UNLOCK" posi� on.
• Close the canister cap and remove it. Shake it to see if it is empty.
• If it is empty, replace it and start from Fig.1.
5. TO ADJUST THE HEAT
• The fl ame can be controlled by turning the igni� on knob between the "INGNITION"
and "OFF" posi� on.
WARNING
• THE OPENINGS AT THE BASE OF THE BURNER PROVIDE AIR FOR COM-
BUSTION, THEY MUST NEVER BE OBSTRUCTED.
• IF THE FLAME TURNS ORANGE IN COLOUR, THESE OPENINGS ARE
OBSTRUCTED.
• IF THE APPLIANCE CANNOT BE ADJUSTED TO OPERATE CORRECTLY, IT
MUST NOT BE USED UNTIL IT IS REPAIRED. DO NOT USE UNTIL SERVI-
CED OR REPAIRED.
