INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
The S&P "HUMI-3 E" model complies with European Safety Standards.
It is recommended that you check the condition and operation of the appliance after unpacking it; any fac-
tory defect is covered by the S&P guarantee.

SECURITY RECOMMENDATIONS

- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervi-
sion or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Check that the power supply and the mains voltage coincide with those indicated on the name plate.
- This electrical appliance is designed for domestic humidification. It should not be used for other
purposes.
- If the appliance is permanently installed to the mains electric supply, the installation must be carried
out by a qualified installer in accordance with the national regulations for electrical installations.
- In the event of a fault, do not attempt to repair the appliance. Any anomaly must be fixed by one of
our Official Services.
- If the mains lead is damaged, it can only be replaced in one of our Official Services, or by qualified
staff, in order to avoid any possible danger.
- Interventions or alterations that modify the normal operating characteristics are a potential
cause of risk.
- Do not use the appliance close to baths, swimming pools or showers.
- Do not use the appliance in the presence of explosives or inflammable gases.
- Do not place the appliance close to a heat source or in direct sunlight.
- Do not cover the appliance.
- Do not insert metals or other objects inside the humidifier.
- IMPORTANT: Always place the appliance on a stable, completely horizontal base, at least 20
cm away from the wall. Use the adjustable diffuser to ensure that the steam jet does not project onto
any surface.
- WARNING! Do not connect the appliance to the same socket as the TV or Video/DVD.
- The water must not contain fragrances or have a temperature of over 40º C. To avoid lime scale
problems the use of distilled water is recommended.
- The appliance will not work if the water tank is empty.
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains whenever it is not in use, and before it is moved or
cleaned.
- Clean the water tank and the steam generating pipe (twice a week). (Before proceeding to clean
the appliance ensure it has been disconnected from the mains)
- To increase the performance of the appliance, the room must be closed to prevent draughts.
