BEFORE FIRST USE
•
Remove all packing material and stickers from the product and save instruction manual.
Caution: Tear up all plastic bags as they can pose a risk to children.
•
Cut and remove tie wrap located between the electric plug blades.
•
Remove the cooking bowl, electric cord, steam basket and other accessories from rice cooker.
Note: To open the lid, grasp the handle and press the lid release button on the handle and lift up.
•
Wash cooking bowl, steam basket, serving spoon and measuring cup with warm sudsy water.
•
Rinse and dry thoroughly before returning to cooker.
•
Wipe the body with a damp cloth, dry thoroughly.
•
Attach electrical cord to appliance.
HOW TO USE YOUR RICE COOKER
When the appliance is operating for the first time, there may be a slight burning odor, as the heating
elements warm up. This represents no danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in the appliance.
Allow the appliance to heat up until the odor clears.
To Cook Rice:
•
Place appliance on a flat stable surface.
Caution: Because some countertop finishes are more sensitive than others, use care not to place appliance
on surfaces where heat may cause damage.
Note: Do not place the rice cooker directly underneath your cabinets or too close to a wall.

Using the measuring cup provided, measure out the desired amount of rice to make. Use the rice
cooking chart provid-ed in this manual as reference.
•
Place rice in the cooking bowl.
Note: For softer rice, allow rice to soak for 10 – 20 minutes before cooking.
•
Using the measuring cup provided or the water level markings located inside the cooking bowl, add
the appropriate amount of water. Refer to the rice cooking chart.
Note: Be careful not to add too much water as it may cause the unit to boil over.
•
Add butter, oil and/or seasonings as desired.
•
Before placing the cooking bowl into the cooker, make sure the heating plate and outside surface of
the cooking bowl are clean and dry.
•
Insert cooking bowl into the cooker.
