Installation Instructions for VMware SD-WAN Edge 710
Follow the steps belo w to install the VMware SD-WAN Edge 710 in a basic
configuration. For advanced configurations, refer to the Edge Activation Guide at
https://sdwan.vmware.com/get-started.
Step 1. Connect to Power
Connect the power adapter to the AC
power outlet, and then connect the other
end of the adapter to the DC po wer port
on the Edge. When the Edge powers on,
the status indicator LED located on the
front of the Edge illuminates.
Step 3. Follow Email Instructions
Follow instructions in the email received
from your IT administrator to complete
the Edge Activation process.

Step 2. Connect to the Internet
Connect one of the default W AN ports
(GE3, GE4, or SFP) to an available
internet connection.
Note: SFP module is not included.
Step 4. Connect Local Devices
Connect local devices via the LAN ports
(GE1 or GE2) or through the Edge's Wi-Fi
accordingly.
