USE - PREPARATION
1. Place the device on a stable and flat surface.
2. Insert the plug into the socket.
USE - TOAST BREAD
1. Adjust the degree of browning using the setting button (8).
• At the lowest setting (setting 1) the browning level is lowest.
• At the highest setting (setting 7) the degree of browning is highest.
• If in doubt, always start with the lowest setting.
• You need to toast stale bread at a lower setting than fresh bread.
• You need to toast whole wheat bread at a higher setting than white bread.
2. Place two slices of bread on the bread carriage (3) of the toaster.
3. Press the bread carriage down using the carriage operating lever (4) until it clicks into place.
The 'Cancel' indicator light (7) lights up. The device will now start toasting and then switch off
automatically. The bread carriage then automatically rises.
4. Remove the toasted bread from the toaster.
Remove the plug from the socket.
Allow the toaster to cool before storing it. Wrap the cable around the pins on the
bottom of the toaster.
DANGER:
•
The toasting process can be interrupted at any time. In this case, press the 'Cancel' button (7).
•
If the toaster or bread emits smoke, then switch the toaster off by pressing the 'Cancel' button.
•
If the bread gets stuck in the toaster, remove the plug from the socket and allow the toaster to cool
down. Then carefully remove the bread from the toaster. Do not use sharp objects and/or metal ob-
jects for this.
USE - WARM-UP FUNCTION
The toaster has a warm-up function. To use the warm-up function, press the 'Reheat' button (6) after
pushing the carriage down with the control lever. When you have pressed the button, the indicator light
starts to light up.
USE - DEFROST FUNCTION
The toaster has a defrost function. You can use this to defrost frozen bread. To use the defrost function,
press the 'Defrost' button (5) after pushing the carriage down with the control lever. When you have pres-
sed the button, the indicator light starts to light up.
USE - WARM UP ROLLS OR BAGUETTES
1. Fold out the bun attachment by pressing the control lever down.
2. Place the rolls or baguette on the roll attachment.
3. Follow the procedure for toasting bread without placing bread slices in the bread carriages.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Remove the plug from the socket and allow the device to cool down.
2. Pull the crumb tray (2) out of the device and remove any remaining crumbs.
3. Clean the outer edge of the device with a damp cloth and wipe with a dry cloth. Make sure that no
moisture gets inside the device.
4. Push the crumb tray back into the device.
DANGER:

Never immerse the device, the plug and the cable in water. Never place the device in a dishwasher.
•
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or scouring agents for cleaning
•
sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes).
