Product usage
Before first use
•
Clean the unit before first use ( CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE).
•
Place the unit on a stable, level, non-slip and heat-resistant surface.
•
Position the unit at least 1 metre away from any flammable objects, such as wooden
fences or garden furniture, and at least 15 cm away from any walls.
•
When you use the barbecue for the first time, it may emit a wisp of smoke and a slight
odour. This is completely normal and caused by the unit being heated for the first time.
•
We recommend turning on the barbecue 30 minutes before using it for the first time, in
order to burn off the heating element's protective film and dissipate any odour or smoke.
Assembly
Firmly insert a non-slip foot onto a bar. Repeat the operation until the 4 non-slip feet are
attached to the bars.
Insert a bar connector (x4) into each of the holes on the four corners of the tray Be sure to
line up the ribs on the connectors with the grooves in the tray's holes and face the bottom
of the connectors outward. The connector will click into place. Once properly inserted,
the connectors will protrude from the top of the tray.
Turn the plastic tray over and secure the feet-mounted bars (x4) to the connectors to
form the base of the barbecue. The bars of the base should face outward. Turn the base
over and check that it is stable. If it is wobbly, check that the bars, feet and connectors
have been inserted correctly.
Insert the remaining 4 bars into the top of the connectors.
Place the barbecue frame on the 4 bars. Ensure that the bars are aligned with the slots in
the frame. Press down firmly on the corners of the barbecue frame to secure it in place.
Mount the drip tray to the barbecue frame. Next, place the heating element on top of
the drip tray. Check that the thermostat knob-fitted heating element has been securely
attached to the barbecue frame.
NOTE:
•
The heating element is equipped with a safety mechanism that prevents
it from generating heat if it has not been correctly placed on the barbecue
frame. When the heating element is fitted to the barbecue frame, this safety
mechanism is deactivated and the heating element can be turned on via the
thermostat button.
•
If the heating element does not turn on, check that it has been correctly
installed on the barbecue frame and that the unit is plugged into the mains
socket.
