Calibration (II)
The product is factory calibrated and ready for measurement after purchase. However, it is
recommended to calibrate the device at least once a year starting from the day of fi rst use.
Calibration will require a reference sound source with a 1/2'' (12.7 mm) socket emitting a sound

with the meter and must be purchased separately. Slide the meter's microphone without the
wind guard into the sound source socket. Turn on the meter in the instantaneous measurement
mode. Turn on the sound source so that it emits a reference signal. Adjust the knob in the hous-
ing using a small screwdriver so that the value on the display reads 94.0. Turn off the meter
and the sound source.
Warning! Do not calibrate without the reference sound source. Otherwise, the meter will show
an invalid value.
