6. Cleaning cabinets
Clean the cabinet lightly when first taking the cabinet into use, before placing any products in it, and once a week
as general maintenance. Thorough cleaning is recommended to be carried out at least once in a 12-month period
and/or whenever the situation might warrant it (spillages / leaks etc.)
Use a suitable lint-free cloth and/or a soft brush, warm water and mild, non-toxic detergent (pH 6-8).
The detergent must not contain abrasives. Make sure the cloth is damp, not dripping wet.
Metal parts may have sharp edges. Wear protective gloves!
Note!
6.1. Light cleaning
1. Empty the shelves. Transfer all food products to another cold space until the cabinet has been cleaned
and it has reached its operating temperature again.
2. Clean all interior and exterior surfaces.
3. Use a squeegee of a dry soft, lint-free cloth to dry surfaces.
4. Wait until the cabinet has reached its operating temperature, and then replace all food products on the
shelves.
6.2. Thorough cleaning
1. Empty the shelves. Transfer all food products to another cold space until the cabinet has been cleaned
and it has reached its operating temperature again.
2. Switch the cabinet off, disconnect from the mains and let the cabinet reach ambient temperature.
Note!
When plug-cabinets are disconnected from the mains, the evaporation dish underneath the
cabinet may fill up as condensation takes palace and ice on the evaporator melts. It is
recommended not to move the cabinet during cleaning in order to avoid spilling water in the
evaporation dish. Spilled water may cause damage to the cabinet.
3. Unplug and remove the LED light strips.
4. Lift and remove the suction grid, bottom plate and honeycomb. Lift the suction grid first. After that the
bottom plate can be lifted.
5. Clean the cabinet basin using a soft brush or cloth. Remove any debris from the drain sieve and wipe the
basin surface clean.
Note!
Do not rinse the basin with water when cleaning plug-cabinets! The water may fill the cabinet's
evaporation dish and cause it to overflow, causing possible damage to the cabinet.
Note!
Do not attempt to remove any hard to remove dirt by scraping!
Scraping will damage the basin surface.
6. Wipe all interior surfaces clean.
Note!
SO-RG and BO-RG cabinets are equipped with a glass front that can be opened to facilitate
easier cleaning. See the section Opening front glass for details. Do not attempt to open the
front glass of any other cabinet variant!
7. Clean the suction grid and bottom plate.
8. Clean the honeycomb using a vacuum cleaner on both sides.
