AA batteries
The camera can be powered with
alkaline or lithium batteries. For best
results, we recommend powering the
camera with lithium batteries. These
typically provide a high voltage, even at
low temperatures.
AA rechargeable batteries
AA rechargeable batteries deliver less voltage at very low temperatures
and are generally not recommended for cameras with 8 AA batteries.
18650 — lithium-ion rechargeable
batteries
When using 18650 batteries, configure
the type of batteries used in the camera
menu under "Settings". Failure to do so
can
significantly
reduce
the
performance of the batteries.
External power supply
Only use our ICUServer products (e.g. 5000mAh External Super Li-Ion
rechargeable battery, icusun solar panels, etc.) as an external power
source (shop.icuserver.com). Other power sources may void the warranty.
Important notes
▪ If you do not plan to use the camera for a prolonged period, remove the
battery to prevent it from leaking.
▪ As an alternative to batteries, you can also power the camera with an
external 12V/2A DC power supply. Ensure that the power supply has the
correct voltage rating. We recommend removing the batteries when using
a power supply.
▪ Before using a new/different SD card, it must be formatted in the camera
(see camera menu).
▪ To prevent data loss, switch the camera to "OFF" before changing the
batteries or the SD card, or before inserting or unplugging an external
power supply.
▪ Do not apply pressure to the PIR motion sensor.
