4. Slide the Viton seal (4 4 ) over the thread bolt of the titanium anode (1 1 ) and
pass the anode from the inside of the tank through the fitting bore.
5. Use the insulation sleeve M8x2 (5 5 ) for centering the M8 stud in the 10.5 mm
bore of the flange-type cover.
6. Fasten the titanium anode together with the diode board (6 6 ) and the hex nut (7 7 ).
N N o o t t e e : : The screw fitting must be pressure-tight. The tightening torque is 6
Nm. Use a torque wrench.
7. Fit the Tooth lock washer with tab connector 6.3 x 0,8 mm (8 8 ) and fasten
with the hex nut (9 9 ).
8. Refit the flange-type cover on the tank.
9. Fasten the spade terminal (1 1 1 1 ) at the end of the cable labelled "ground
connection tank" under the earthing screw of the tank. If the tank has no
earthing screw, t t h h e e g g r r o o u u n n d d c c o o n n t t a a c c t t m m u u s s t t b b e e e e s s t t a a b b l l i i s s h h e e d d b b y y o o t t h h e e r r r r e e l l i i a a b b l l e e

10. Push the other connector at the tank end of the cable (1 1 2 2 ) - in this case
the receptacle 6.3x0.8 mm - on the tab terminal of the Tooth lock washer
of the anode.
11. Push the two different flat connectors (1 1 3 3 ) and (1 1 4 4 ) at the other end of the
connecting cable on tyhe connectors in the opening (1 1 5 5 ) of the plug-in
potentiostat. Push the larger connector (6.3 x 0.8 mm) on the larger tab
and the smaller one (4.8 x 0.8 mm) on the smaller tab of the plug-in
potentiostat.
12. Plug the potentiostat (2 2 ) into a 230 V mains socket.
13. Fill the storage tank with water and check for leaks.

The drive potential applied must be U > +2.3 V DC, when the tank is
connected with the negative input and the titanium anode with the positive
input of the measuring instrument.

Pilot lamp (1 1 6 6 ) off: probably no mains voltage.
Pilot lamp flashing red: malfunction of the system. In this case, the
checks described in chapter 9 must be performed.
