Starting the sound element
The figure 2 presents the use of the noise generator.
The noise generator mechanism is operated with just one button.
Pressing the generator button briefly switches the noise on.
If the device does not detect sounds such as child crying/yelling, noise or loud sounds for 40
minutes, it enters the standby and cry detection mode for 3 hours:
-> If no aforementioned sounds are detected for 3 hours, the generator switches automatically off.
-> If said sounds are detected within the 3-hour period, the device activates for 20 minutes.
Afterwards, the device switches off and enters the standby and cry detection mode.
The cycle repeats until the device switches off.
The device may also be switched off manually, by pressing the module button briefly.
Volume level adjustments
When the device is switched on, press and hold the button for at least 2 seconds (this
causes the volume increase mode to activate), and (still) hold the pressed button to increase
the volume (in 7 levels). Releasing the button keeps the device at the given volume level.
If the button is pressed and held again for at least 2 seconds, the button will lower
the volume.
The mechanism stores the last volume level set before entering the standby mode in its
memory.
The device signals batteries running out of power with a sound signal.
Brief "beeps" during noise transmission indicate that the batteries are nearly discharged and
the device will soon shut down.
