3. TRANSPORT, HANDLING AND INTERMEDIATE STORAGE
Lifting
Never lift the pump by means of its electric cable, but use the special handle.
The electric pumps have to be lifted observing the following recommendations, according to their weight
(indicated on their packing): Up to 20 kg: manually by one person; From 20 to 60 kg: manually by two persons;
More than 60 kg: by means of a suitable lifting device.
Storing and preservation
If the pump/electropump remains inactive at low temperatures (the water inside the pump could freeze and
cause serious damage) or, at any rate, for a period exceeding three months, it is a good idea to empty the
pump and protect it by applying suitable products to its surfaces.
To empty the liquid, see the chapter 8.

Use
Never use the electric pump in explosive atmospheres or to pump inflammable or dangerous liquids.
Never use the electric pump for liquids to be consumed in human feeding.
In order to avoid seriously damaging the components, observe the following recommendations:

never use the pump in absence of liquid;

never use the pump out of the water;
-
never use the pump with null delivery (closed delivery);
-
do not immerse the pump under 20 m;
-
always use the pump with a delivery indicated in the working diagram.
