44..ABTM-SO
ENG
The 44..ABTM-SO device is a home automation temperature probe designed for
climate control (heating and cooling). It is integrated in the AVEbus home automation
system to manage temperature control in home and building automation systems. The
device allows for the connection of an additional temperature probe and a window
contact. It comes complete with a front plate with a design matching the entire AVE
S.44 - 1 module civil series.

Probe input (NTC)
Only the connection of NTC-type temperature probes with a characteristic value of 10
kOhm 1% @ 25°C are allowed, e.g. codes 44xSO-NTC and 53GA91-T, between the
input and GND (terminals 2 or 4).
The connection status of the probes (indoor and outdoor) is constantly monitored:
values outside the permissible range (e.g. due to a short circuit or interrupted
connections) are indicated by L1 lighting up steady red. The NTC and its connections
must ensure reinforced insulation against dangerous voltages.
Window input (WIN.)
A micro-contact is connected between the input and GND (terminals 2 or 4), closed
to indicate that the window is closed. For example, it is possible to use codes AF902,
AF903, etc.
The connection status of the micro-contact is constantly monitored: unexpected
values (e.g. caused by changing the connection with the probe input) are indicated
by L1 lighting up steady red. The input must come from a potential-free contact with
reinforced insulation against dangerous voltages.
Operation
The device is designed to be integrated in temperature control systems with a
supervisor. The probe periodically receives from the supervisor, in addition to the
current mode (summer/winter), a temperature set-point, which varies according to
programming, and autonomously manages the other temperature control devices
(receivers). To update the data displayed by the supervisor, the probe sends the
measured temperature value at the same frequency.
If there are other probes programmed as slaves in the same zone, the measured
temperature value sent to the supervisor by the master probe is already the result of
the average of the room temperature values measured by the various probes in the
zone (master + n slaves). The device is also equipped locally with a probe input (NTC)
to acquire the temperature which will be added to the overall average calculation.
If window status management is envisaged, the probe will interrupt air conditioning in
the specific room when the window is open for more than 60 s. When the window is
closed again, air conditioning will resume automatically. The window opening status
can be detected by adding an alarm transmitter 442ABTA or ABIN06 and/or by means
of the specific wired input.
