3. Functions
Satellite acquisition
> Once your warning device has been connected to the electri-
cal power supply, the screen displays the update version. For
example, "024" means that the last update was carried out
in February "02" and that it is version number "4". GPS
eventually display the number of satellites received. For exam-
ple "5- -" means that it is receiving from 5 satellites. The
vocal message that indicates that satellite seeking has fin-
ished and that your warning device is synchronised with the
GPS network generally comes just after the display indicates
reception from 7 satellites. Satellite synchronisation is quick-
er if your car remains immobile while satellite search is in
progress.
Speed
> As soon as your warning device has finished the synchronisa-
tion phase, your vehicle speed and direction appear on the
digital screen. When approaching a risk zone, your GPS
will warn you with three beeps for a permanent risk and 1
beep for a random risk. At this point, the maximum speed
limit allowed will flash on the display. Also, an audio signal will
be heard as long as your driving speed is above than the per-
mitted speed limit.

Direction and
distance
> Also, the vehicle direction dis-
play will begin to flash. The dis-
tance remaining to the end of
the risk zone is shown in an led
bar-meter, which will decrease
accordingly.
Time
> Thanks to the precision of the
GPS signal, the exact time will
be displayed as soon as the
vehicle is at a stop.
