IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking
off parts, and before cleaning.
3. CAUTION: Avoid contact with moving parts.
4. To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse this Bar
Blender, cord or plug in water or other liquid.
5. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of this appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
6. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by or near
children.
7. Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after
this appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
Bring this appliance to a qualified technician for examination, repair
or adjustment.
8. The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended
by the appliance manufacturer may case hazards.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, where it can
inadvertently be pulled on or tripped over, or touch hot surfaces,
which may damage the cord.
11. Keep hands, hair, clothing and utensils out of jar while blending, to
prevent the possibility of severe personal injury and/or damage to
this Bar Blender. A rubber scraper may be used but must be used
only when this appliance is not operating.
12. Blades are SHARP. Handle carefully
13. Always operate this appliance with lid and lid insert in place.
14. Never place cutting assembly or cutting blades on the motor base
without the jar properly attached
15. CAUTION: This blender is not intended for use with hot liquids
or hot ingredients.

16. When blending hot liquids, remove the center-piece of two-piece
cover and follow "hot blending instructions" carefully.
17. Do not use water jet to clean this appliance
18. Ensure the jar coupler and motor coupler are aligned and engaged
before operating. If unable to engage, remove the jar and shake
contents, then try again.
19. The jar coupler and motor coupler may be hot after operating.
Do not touch.
20. The use of ear protection is recommended during extended
operating periods.
21. This appliance must be positioned so that the plug is accessible.
22. Always use HIGH speed for crushing ice.
23. DO NOT OPERATE IF JAR OVERFLOWS. If the jar overflows
during blending, there is too much liquid/ingredients in the
jar. Press the STOP button, remove liquid/ingredients to below
MAX FILL line, and continue blending.
24. Do not use carbonated liquids in the jar or any blending container.
Use of carbonated liquids in the jar or any blending container may
result in injury.
25. Do not blend oil or oil-based products such as peanut butter for
more than 5 minutes.
26. Never remove blender jar from the base unit until the blade and
coupling have completely stopped.
27. Check to make sure the ON/OFF (I/O) switch on the side of the
motor base is in the OFF (O) position before plugging cord into
the electric outlet.
28. To disconnect, always press the ON/OFF (I/O) switch to OFF (O)
before unplugging from the electric outlet.
29. Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
30. Do not leave this appliance ON (I) overnight or for prolonged
periods of non-use.
31. Do not leave this appliance unattended when it is ON (I).
