The Klein Tools 935DAF is a Digital Angle Finder that measures angles and calculates the
saw blade angle needed for perfectly fitting miter cuts. The locking knob quickly secures
the two rulers into the measured position for quick angle transfer.

BUTTONS AND FUNCTIONS
POWER ON/OFF: Press the Power/Zero Button 5 to turn the 935DAF on. The
935DAF will begin displaying the degree offset between the 2 steel rulers. Press and
hold the Power/Zero Button 5 to turn off.
NOTE: 935DAF will automatically power off after 15 minutes of inactivity.
ZERO: To set a reference angle, press the Power/Zero Button 5 while the unit is
on. The measured value on the display will change to "0.0°". At this point, all new
measured angles will be in reference to this user-set reference angle. Ensure your
product measures accurately from zero by folding the Digital Angle Finder until the
blades are in line with each other on a flat surface and press the Power/Zero Button 5 .
HOLD: To hold a measurement value on the display, press the Hold Button 4 . When
the hold function is active, the Hold Icon C will be illuminated on the display. The
measured value will remain on the display until the Hold Button 4 is pressed again.
MITER SAW BLADE CALCULATOR: To calculate the needed miter saw blade angle for a
simple miter cut, press the Miter Button 3 ; the Miter Angle Icon E will turn on. Then,
measure the desired corner and the Digital Angle Finder will automatically calculate
and display the exact angle that your saw blade needs to be set to for a perfectly fitted
miter joint. Once measured, press the Hold Button 4 to ensure your measurement is
accurate as you set your saw blade. To switch from the miter calculator function back
to a true angle finder, press the Miter Button 3 again; the Miter Angle Icon E will
turn off. NOTE: In order to determine the miter and bevel angles for a compound miter
cut, repeat the steps above and look up that measured value in the COMPOUND MITER
CONVERSION TABLE chart at the bottom of the page .
Simple Miter Angle Formula: Miter Angle = | 90 - ( Measured Angle/2 )|
SUPPLEMENTARY ANGLE: Press and hold the Hold Button 4 to change the display
from showing the true angle to showing the supplementary angle. The Supplementary
Angle Icon D will display.
Formula: Displayed Angle = 180° - Angle between 2 rulers

TIGHTEN/LOOSEN: Rotate the Locking Knob 6 clockwise to tighten the moving ruler.

Rotate the Locking Knob 6 counterclockwise to loosen the moving ruler.
The Low Battery Icon B will appear when the battery needs to be replaced:
1. Loosen the screw and remove the Battery Door 7 .
2. Properly dispose of spent batteries and install new AAA battery, noting proper polarity.
3. Replace Battery Door 7 and secure with screw.
Be sure device is turned off and wipe with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. DO NOT use
abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Remove battery when device is not in use for a prolonged period of time. Do not
expose to high temperatures or humidity. After a period of storage in extreme
conditions exceeding the limits mentioned in the General Specifications section,
allow the device to return to normal operating conditions before using.
