Use the charger according to the safety instructions. Failure
to follow the safety instructions can result in serious injury
and / or injury to the user.
When the charger in connected, keep the battery
connectors away from conductive nature objects so as to
avoid a short circuit.
Unplug the charger power cable every time there isn't a
battery inserted in it.
The charger was conceived to be used with VITO
rechargeable batteries. Using other type of batteries might
increase de risk of fire, electric shock or electrocution.
Never place an object over the charger or put it over a soft
surface that may block the ventilation openings and cause
overheating.
This charger must be repaired only by the brand official
technical service or by qualified technicians and only with
original replacement parts.
To plug the charger in an electrical outlet, use the following
procedure:
1. Plug the power cable (3) in a socket. The charge level
indicating light (1) turns green;
2. Insert the battery in the charger. The charge level
indicating light the led turns red and shows the charging
process has started;
3. The battery is fully charged when the indicating light
turns off.
While charging, both battery and charger may heat. This is
usual and it's not indication of any anomaly. If the battery
gets hot, it shall cool down before put it to charge.
The charger does not require additional maintenance.
However, it needs a proper maintenance and a regular
cleaning to operate continuously with no issues.
Cleaning
Always unplug the charger power cable before carrying out
any cleaning process.
Clean the charger with a clean and dry cloth or blow it with
low pressure compressed air. A careful handling protects
the machine and extends its lifespan.
The ventilation openings must be always clean to avoid
overheating. Clean it regularly or every time they get
obstructed.
Storage
The charger must be stored inside dry, clean and corrosive
steam free places out of children's reach. Avoid storing it to
direct sunlight or near heat/cold sources. Keep the charger
at the room temperature.
Do not store the battery inside places where the room
temperature is 40°C or higher.
The packaging is made up of recyclable materials,
which you can dispose on local recycling points.
Never place power tools in the domestic waste!
According to the European Directive 2012/19/CE on
electrical and electronic equipment waste and its
transposition into national law, power tools must be
collected separately and delivered to the collection sites
provided for this purpose.
You can obtain information regarding the disposal of power
tools through the person in charge for the recycling in your
city.
