The
following
step-by-step
instructions
show
you
how
to
connect
the
Amiga
External 3.5 Disk Drive to the
Amiga and
make
sure everything
is
working
properly.
The
features
and
characteristics of
the External
3.5
Disk Drive
are
identical
to
the
internal
disk drive
on
the
Amiga.
It
provides
880Kof
storage.
Follow these steps
to
connect
the
drive to
the
Amiga.

Turn
off
the
Amiga.

Plug the disk interface cable
from
the
drive
into
the
disk
drive
connector on
the
back
panel
of
the
Amiga
and
tighten
the
thumb
screws
of
the
connector
to
the
main
unit.
The
plug
is
a
23-pin
D-connectorand
only
goes
in
oneway.

Turn the
Amiga
back
on.
The
external
microdisk
drive
draws
all
of
its
power
from
the
Amiga
main
unit.
You
insert
and
eject
disks
in
exactly the
same way
you
do
with the
internal
drive of
the
Amiga.

light

comes
on
when
the
Amiga
is
in
use. This
means
the
Amiga
is
reading information
from
or
writing
information to the
