Desk fan
Instruction for installation of desk fan
Caution
1.
Improper installation may result in the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
2.
To prevent risk of fire and electric shock, do not use the unit near windows.
3.
Power plug must be removed from power socket before cleaning, servicing, maintenance and
when moving from one location to another.
4.
The fan should be placed on a flat and stable surface when operating to avoid overturning.
5.
The fan should not be placed in a damp place or where humidity is high (such as in a bathroom).

Assembly of blade and guard
1.
Unscrew to remove the blade spinner from the motor shaft.
2.
Unscrew the guard mounting nut from the front of the motor housing.
3.
Position the rear guard against the front of the motor housing with the handle uppermost, ensuring
that the locating pegs on the motor housing are engaged correctly in the holes in the guard.
4.
Screw the guard mounting nut firmly onto the projecting thread on the motor housing, making sure
it is tightened firmly.
5.
Remove and discard the PVC sleeve on the motor shaft.
6.
Place the fan blade onto the motor shaft, locating the slot at the back of the blade on the drive pin
that passes through the motor shaft.
7.
Screw the spinner onto the motor shaft, and tighten it firmly against the front of the blade.
8.
Position the front guard against the rear guard so that the holes in the rims that accept the small
nut and bolt are in line. Insert the bolt through the holes and screw on the nut. Do not fully tighten
at this stage.
9.
Move the guard retaining clips into position ensuring that they engage correctly on the rim of the
guard.
10. Fully tighten the small nut and bolt that passes through the rim of the guard.
