Power boost button.
Pressing the power boost button activates
the rapid-charging mode. This can be done
before the battery is inserted or when the
battery already is inserted. The power boost
button lights up red during rapid charging.
Pressing the power boost button again
returns you to the standard charging mode.
Audio signal.
As soon as the charging cycle is completed,
a brief audio signal is emitted.
Trouble shooting - Causes and corrective action.
Cause
Flashing red temperature monitoring/error indicator
No charging procedure possible
Battery not (correctly) inserted
Battery contacts contaminated
Battery defective
Green battery charge-control indicator not lit
Mains plug of the battery charger not
(correctly) plugged in
Socket outlet, mains cable or charger
defective
When the rapid charging is completed
(approx. 50 % battery capacity reached), the
power boost button goes out. If the battery
remains in the charger, it will continue to be
charged.
Corrective action
Insert battery correctly into charger
Clean battery contacts; e.g. by inserting and
removing the battery several times; replace bat-
tery if necessary
Replace battery
Plug mains plug (completely) into socket outlet
Check the mains voltage; if necessary, have the
charger checked by an authorized customer ser-
vice center for FEIN power tools.
