ASSEMBLY
Setting the ground sleeve in concrete
1.
Dig a hole of at least 80 x 80 cm and 80 cm deep for the foundation.
2.
For the casing, we recommend using a wooden or plastic frame or a sturdy cardboard box
of a suitable size. The side casings are removed after setting the concrete.
3.
Use commercial frost-proof concrete that is suitable for foundations. If necessary, please seek
advice from a specialist retailer.
4.
Seal the ground sleeve (E) properly and tightly at one end with strong adhesive tape to
prevent concrete from penetrating when pressing in.
5.
Insert the pole tube (A) with the straight ends in the ground sleeve (E) until the pole tube
touches the adhesive tape.
6.
Fill the casing with concrete. Immediately after this, press the ground sleeve with the inserted
pole tube into the concrete in the middle of the foundation until the sleeve is flush with the
concrete base. Compact the concrete with a rod until it encases the ground sleeve and there
are no air pockets.
7.
Now use a spirit level to ensure exact vertical alignment of the pole tube. In doing so, perform
measurements at several points around the pole. To finish, vibrate and compact the concrete
again with a rod.
8.
Let the concrete harden fully. Note the manufacturer's specifications to this end.
Assembling the flagpole
1.
Screw down the rope cleat (D) at the pre-drilled holes of pole tube (A) using the 2 self-
tapping screws (H). Caution! Do not overtighten the screws.
2.
Put the end cap (C) on one of the pole tubes (B). The rope guide is built into the end cap.
3.
The flagpole set contains 5 pole tube (B) with tapered ends and 1 pole tube (A) with straight
ends. Assemble the pole tubes as shown. Only slide the pole tubes into each other in a linear
motion; do not twist them. Otherwise the protective coating could get damaged.
4.
The first snap hook (G) is tied approx. 4.3 m from the end of the rope and the second snap
hook is tied at a distance appropriate to the size of the flag.
5.
Thread the upper rope end (I) through the rope guide in the end cap (C) and connect the
two rope ends with a simple knot.
6.
Attach the flag (F) to the eyelets using the snap hooks (G).
7.
Put the flagpole in an upright position and insert it in the ground sleeve (E) that was previously
set in concrete.
Note: Ensure that the concrete has fully hardened. Note the manufacturer's specifications to
this end.
8.
Hoist the flag by pulling on the rope, then attach it to the rope cleat (D) with a loop.
