- when not properly set in left/right position, switch A
cannot be activated.
Change direction of rotation only when tool is at a
complete standstill.
 Normal drilling/screwdriving versus impact drilling
(Fig.9).
Select drilling function only when tool is switched
off and plug is disconnected.
 Changing bits (Fig.10).
- insert the bit as deep as possible in the chuck.
Do not use bits with a damaged shank.
 Adjusting drilling depth (Fig.11).
 Holding and guiding the tool (Fig.12).
While working, always hold the tool at the black

 Use the appropriate bits (Fig.13).
Only use sharp bits.
 For drilling in concrete or stone, a steady pressure on
the drill is required.
 When drilling ferrous metals.
- pre-drill a smaller hole, when a large hole is required.
- lubricate drill bit occasionally with oil.
 When turning in a screw at/near the cross cut end or
an edge of wood, pre-drill a hole in order to avoid
cracking of the wood.
 Splinter-free drilling in wood (Fig.14).
 Dust-free drilling in walls (Fig.15).
 Dust-free drilling in ceilings (Fig.16).
 Drilling in tiles without skidding (Fig.17).

rechargeable batteries, electrical or electronic devices must
not be disposed of with household waste. They may contain
substances that are harmful to the environment and human

on returning these items is available from the seller. Sellers
are required to accept these items free of charge. Batteries
and rechargeable batteries, which are not permanently
installed in waste electrical devices, must be removed prior
to disposal and must be disposed of separately. Lithium
batteries and battery packs in all systems must only be
returned to a collection point when discharged. Batteries
must always be protected against short circuits by covering
the poles with adhesive tape. All end users are responsible
