Use the loaded crane on smooth, horizontal and obstacle-free terrain.
If a patient is transferred on an inclined surface, it must not exceed a 5º slope and the help of another person is
recommended.
Never leave the lift with a patient on an inclined surface.
Transfer the patient with the legs of the lift in parallel and at a speed of less than 3 km/h. (0.8m/s).
Keep the equipment away from water, humidity, splashes or corrosive environments (indoor swimming pools,
the sea...). Do not use the electric lift in the shower or recharge it in the bathroom.
Do not force controls or safety devices.
Push the lift holding the front handle, never by the mast, arm, motor or the patient.
Do not raise, transfer or lower the patient with the rear wheel brakes activated.
Check that if the crane has been exposed to the sun for a long time, there may be areas that present a risk of
burns.
BEFORE TRANSFERRING THE PATIENT , assess individual risks including:
Patient mobility and holding capacity (assess type of harness for amputees, head restraint...).
Entrapment hazard warning.
Possible falls.
Disturbed patients or with learning difficulties.
Young children or pregnant women.
People without the mental capacity to recognize unsafe actions.
Unauthorized persons.
All persons authorized to use the lift must be able to do so in a safe and controlled manner.
The user and/or caregiver must ensure that there are no body parts in areas where there may be a risk of
entrapment.
2.2.- Electrical safety precautions
This product complies with EN 60601-1 and EN 60601-1-2 standards, related to electrical devices and
electromagnetic interference of medical equipment, so it does not interfere or is not interfered with when
combined with other medical devices that also comply with electromagnetic regulations.
Some devices, especially older ones, that do not comply with the electromagnetic compatibility regulations may
nevertheless suffer interference or cause it themselves when used with this lift. The user of such devices must
ensure that possible malfunctions do not harm the patient or any other person.
Before moving the crane, make sure that the power cable is unplugged from the mains and the wheels are
not stopped. Only qualified and authorized personnel can manipulate the electrical parts.
3.- ASSEMBLY
Although the use of tools is not necessary for assembly, some parts are of considerable weight. It is
recommended the help of another person to handle them. Take special care to avoid possible entrapment or
impact.
