1. SAFETY WARNINGS
- Only the appropriate connector must be used.
- Do not use attachments not recommended or supplied for this product.
- For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a
rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical circuit.
Ask your installer for advice.
- If the power cord is damaged, in order to avoid risks, it should be replaced by the man-
ufacturer, maintenance department or similar sector professionals.
- This appliance is not intended for being used by children from 0 to 8 years old. This ap-
pliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and maintenance shall not be performed by children.
- Close supervision is necessary when the coffee maker is in use near children.
- This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply if it is left unattended and before as-
sembling, disassembling or cleaning.
- Cooking appliances should be placed in a stable place with the handles positioned to
prevent spillage of hot liquids.
- This appliance is intended for being used as a household appliance and similar uses as
small kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; cottages; by cus-
tomers in hotels, motels and other residential environments; hostels type environments.

- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or product in water or any
liquid. Make sure all electrical connections are clean and dry.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or a counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place the coffee maker on or near a gas or electrical burner, or in a heated oven.
- Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
- Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycle.
- The carafe is designed for use with this coffee maker. It must never be used on a range
or stove-top.
- Do not set a hot carafe on a wet or cold surface.
- Do not use a cracked carafe or a carafe having a loose or weakened handle.
- Do not clean carafe with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive material.
