INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
1. Open the battery compartment lid.
2. Insert two 1,5V LR6 AA size batteries (not supplied) with correct polarity.
3. Close the lid.
WHEN TO REPLACE THE BATTERIES
When the sound becomes weak or distorted, replace all batteries with new ones.
NOTES ON BATTERIES
Do not charge the dry batteries.
Do not carry the dry batteries with coins or other metallic objects. It can generate
heat if the positive and negative terminals of the batteries are accidentally
contacted by a metallic object.
Do not use different types of batteries at the same time.
When you replace the batteries, replace all with new ones.
When you are not going to use the unit for a long time, remove the batteries to
avoid damage from battery leakage and corrosion.
Battery acid could leak out, especially if the batteries are old. Therefore you
should remove all batteries if you do not plan to use the radio for long periods
of time. This protects the radio from battery acid leakage.
OPERATING THE RADIO
1. Turn the POWER/VOLUME control clockwise to turn on the power and adjust the
volume. When you have finished listening, turn the control counter-clockwise to
turn off the power. The Power ON led lights up when the power is switched on.
2. Set the BAND selector to select FM/MW or LW.
3. Tune in to a station using TUNING KNOB.
4. Adjust the volume using POWER/VOLUME KNOB.
