3. Use
3.1. Charging the battery
It is essential to charge the battery for about 2 hours before using the
trimmer for the first time. Charge the trimmer at least once during the year
following the date of delivery. The battery reaches its full capacity after 3
or 4 charging cycles.
USE ONLY THE POWER PACK SUPPLIED, MODEL SW-050100EU (Fig. 1-H).
When charging, it is advisable to switch the trimmer off (On/Off button set
to 0, Fig. 1-B).
3.1.1. Charging the trimmer from the mains supply
Insert the electrical lead into the socket of the trimmer (Fig. 3a).
Connect the power pack (Fig. 1-H) to a mains power socket.
During charging, the On/Off button flashes (Fig. 1-B).
At the end of charging, the indicator light comes on steadily. Unplug the power
pack. The trimmer can now be used without the electrical lead.
3.1.2. Charging the trimmer on the charge stand
Insert the electrical lead into the charge stand socket (Fig. 3b).
Insert the power pack in a mains power socket.
Put the trimmer on the charge stand (Fig. 1-G).
At the end of charging, the indicator light comes on steadily. The trimmer can
now be used without the electrical lead.
